United Vacations works to support travel agents and customers in light of Mexico travel update

MILWAUKEE, April 29, 2009 11:58 a.m. CST – United Vacations has revised their current re-booking and cancellation policies to reflect the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Monday evening update on the swine influenza situation in Mexico. With the primary goal of protecting customers’ vacation investments and providing a positive vacation experience, United Vacations is working closely with their travel agents and customers to change or re-accommodate their travel plans.

“To help, United Vacations is doing all we can to minimize penalties and the inconvenience to our customers,” said Rick Karnes, vice president and general manager of United Vacations. “We have many great vacation destinations that may offer an acceptable alternative for those travelers wanting to take that well deserved vacation.”

With the updated policies, customers may re-book their Mexico vacation to another date or to one of the hundreds of popular United Vacations destinations including the Caribbean, Hawaii, Florida, Las Vegas, California, ski vacations, Europe and Canada. United Vacations also highly recommends purchasing the “WorldCareSM Complete Coverage” to give vacationers peace of mind.
