Escape to the breathtaking beauty of Montana's mountain country! Bozeman is truly the perfect year-round paradise. Spring does exactly that with a carpet of alpine flowers springing up through mountain meadows. During the summer, comfortable weather is abundant and annoying insects are practically nonexistent. Autumn brings a warm collage of hues, ranging from burnished oranges and pale yellows to deep russets and forest greens. The charming and thriving town of Bozeman is located in a wide valley with a downtown featuring a friendly main street with rows of turn-of-the-century buildings that are now home to art galleries, cafés, brew pubs, and outfitters. The town is also refreshingly youthful, especially during the school year, as Montana State College, with 10,000 students, is located here.

South of Bozeman is Big Sky, a favorite winter ski resort and fast becoming a year-round resort with hiking trails, golf courses, horseback riding, and mountain biking. Farther to the south, just across the Wyoming border, is the magnificent and mysterious Yellowstone National Park with its abundant wildlife, deep forests, raging rivers, and primordial geysers, mud pots, and thermal pools. And running between the two is the Gallatin River, great for fly-fishing, kayaking, and whitewater rafting. To the west, 90 miles from Yellowstone, is the remarkably well-preserved, Old West gem, and gold mining town of Virginia City with 150 buildings dating from the late 1800s.
