United Vacations Launches No Surprise Pricing

New pricing program where vacation prices will include all hotel and flight taxes and fees

(EDINA, Minn., Nov 29, 2011) —In response to travel agent and consumer feedback, United Vacations has implemented "No-Surprise Pricing" with advertised prices representing the complete price, including all hotel and flight taxes and fees required by the U.S. Department of Transportation.

As a convenience to customers, United Vacations has implemented this new pricing structure well before the new disclosure policy is required by the U.S. Department of Transportation, which has set a deadline of January 24, 2012.

The new "No-surprise Pricing" will be displayed throughout all advertising, as well as deals pages on the United Vacations website, and ensures that customers will not be 'surprised' by hundreds of dollars in added government taxes and fees.

Travel shoppers may notice an increase in the advertised prices of offers and promotions from United Vacations, however because all of the fees are now included, they will see that United Vacations prices are comparable to their competitors, once their taxes and fees are added later in the booking process. Until others adapt to this pricing format, United Vacations brands offer the benefit of viewing the total package price on vacations up front, from the very beginning of the booking process.
